Before:

The original kitchen was severely bottlenecked by a multi-tiered peninsula that cut off the cook from family and guests. Heavy honey-oak cabinets absorbed the sunlight, while cold tile floors made the space feel dated and closed-off. Despite vaulted ceilings, the entire room felt like another decade, dark, and lacking functionality.

We completely opened up the floor plan by removing the peninsula barrier and installing a massive, freestanding center island topped with a dramatic Panda White Quartz slab. Premium white soft-close cabinetry with 5/8" plywood construction provides clean storage, while seamless White Oak LVP flooring brings warm continuity throughout the home. Finished with a clean tiled backsplash and sleek matte black hardware, this kitchen has been transformed while keeping costs moderate by keeping appliances and fixtures in fixed locations.

1. Custom Island Layout & Open Floor Plan

We removed the awkward multi-tiered peninsula barrier to seamlessly connect the kitchen to the main living area. Replacing the peninsula with a massive center island improved traffic flow and created an inviting focal point for family gatherings.

2. Panda White Quartz Slab & Tiled Backsplash

The centerpiece of this kitchen is the dramatic Panda White Quartz island slab. Featuring bold, sweeping black veining against a crisp white background, it perfectly bridges the gap between clean elegance and modern contrast. To tie the perimeter together, we installed a clean, tiled backsplash that reflects natural light throughout the room.

  • Durable Construction: Built with heavy-duty 5/8" solid plywood box construction—essential for enduring Phoenix heat and humidity changes without warping.

  • Premium Finishes: Bright white Shaker-style doors coated in a high-durability finish.

4. White Oak LVP Flooring

To replace the outdated tile, we ran warm, natural White Oak Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring throughout the entire space. LVP is 100% waterproof, scratch-resistant, and ultra-durable—making it the ideal low-maintenance choice for busy Arizona households.

5. Matte Black Hardware & Fixtures

To complement the bold veining in the Panda White quartz, we installed crisp matte black hardware, high-neck faucet, electrical trim, and track lighting. This offers a sharp, modern contrast against the bright white cabinets and warm oak floors.
